I happened upon this book while on vacation this past week. Sunday was my day to unwind and read at the beach. I picked this book up on a whim, and I am so happy I did. A witty, and engaging read, you learn that realty truly is fantasy's evil twin. We all dream of the big events in our lives, the game changers...our engagement, wedding, first born , new job, new house, yet as these events unfold rarely do they turn out the way we envisioned. Donna Cavanagh takes you through a lifetime of events that don't always match up with the expectations, leaving you with a smile and an awareness that if your not laughing your way through life, life just may laugh at you. Not a bad lesson.
This was an enjoyable, easy to read book. I found myself laughing with each chapter! I think both women and men will enjoy reading "RealityFantasy's Evil Twin". A great book to read on the beach!

Reality is fantasy's evil twin for sure! I had a great time reading this little romp of a book on my . Donna Cavanagh has captured just the right combo of what life in middle America is really like. Her hyperbole works well, so that we can laugh at our collective selves. Fun stuff!
In her exaggeration of both the reality and the fantasy parts of life in this hilarious look at family life, the author includes a little bit of truth in each experience. As I laughed my way through Ms. Cavanagh's chronicle, I realized I didn't want the fantasy and was relieved I didn't quite have the reality. There were many times, however, I found myself nodding my head in agreement with her portrayals. A fun read when your spirits need lifting and you think you've got it bad!
Hands down, this book was hilarious! I still refer to it when I need a pick me up! Donna contrasts the difference between fantasy relationships and love with reality in a very humorous and over the top way.
